Reporting to the General Manager of Galore Creek Mining Corporation (GCMC), the Senior HR Advisor plays a key role in crafting and delivering strategic HR initiatives that support business objectives, employee development, and organizational growth. As part of a multi-partner operation, you will have the opportunity to work across diverse teams and gain exposure to complex and rewarding challenges. If you’re passionate about delivering results through people and ready to expand your career within a unique and forward-looking organization, we’d love to hear from you. This role is based out of the GCMC Vancouver office. Key ResponsibilitiesBe a courageous safety leader, leading by example and fostering a proactive safety and sustainability culture based on the common values of Health, Safety, Environment, and Communities shared by Teck and Newmont (the Partners).Lead and deliver day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, talent management, organizational development, workforce planning, and recruitment.Act as a trusted advisor to leaders across the organization, supporting the execution of HR strategies aligned with business goals.Develop and implement HR programs, policies, and procedures that reflect the needs of a Joint Venture structure while complying with local legislation.Represent the company in HR matters with the Partners, maintaining strong collaboration, transparency, and alignment across shared HR objectives.Facilitate communication and coordination of HR decisions, practices, and changes across JV entities to support shared workforce goals.Coordinate quarterly JV HR Partner Working Group sessions to maintain strong alignment and support for all GCMC HR operations and strategies.Partner with operational teams and JV representatives on site-based and corporate HR issues, including workforce transitions, onboarding, performance, and culture initiatives.Analyze HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.Lead or contribute to HR projects, including succession planning, diversity and inclusion, workforce strategy, and change initiatives.Build respectful working relationships within the Project team, the Partners, external Communities of Interest, including various levels of government and the Tahltan Nation, to contribute to the stability and functionality of GCMC’s reputation, management and governance practices.The above accountabilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.Qualifications5+ years of experience in an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner role, preferably within the natural resources or industrial sectors.Demonstrated experience or strong aptitude in working within Joint Venture or multi-stakeholder environments.Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practices, and workforce relations in British Columbia and Canada.Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and evolving environment.Strategic mindset with strong operational execution skills.A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CPHR designation or working toward it is an asset.Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a similar HRIS/payroll system (e.g., VIP, SAP SuccessFactors) is a strong asset.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong presentation skills.What We OfferA stepping-stone leadership role with room for growth and development.A collaborative and respectful workplace culture rooted in health and safety, people, responsible development, continuous improvement, innovation, and integrity.The chance to work closely with a Joint Venture leadership team and gain valuable experience in multi-party governance and HR decision-making.  Pay Range: $93,000 - $130,000 CADThe actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity. Working Conditions: GCMC highly values its long-standing relationship with the Tahltan Nation, and continues to implement the 2006 Participation Agreement, including involving the Tahltan Nation in regulatory processes and review of environmental performance, and providing preferential contracting and employment opportunities.
