Carefully designed indoor and outdoor play spaces ensure children remain engaged and active throughout the year, including during Alberta’s harshest weather.We maintain strong collaborative partnerships with families to support each child’s growth and prepare them for sustained success.About the RoleWe are seeking a Child Care Educator at our Seton (Calgary) location who possess a strong understanding of child development, exceptional engagement skills, and a dedication to fostering positive relationships with both children and colleagues. The ideal candidate will be dependable, adaptable, fluent in English, and exhibit outstanding communication and multitasking abilities. Prior experience is required, and candidates must possess Alberta Child Care certification levels 2, or 3, along with current criminal record check (with vulnerable sector search) and first aid certification.Key ResponsibilitiesImplementing engaging programming tailored to the interests and needs of the children.Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the environment.Leading and supporting children in integrated learning and recreational activities.Actively supervising and engaging with children while ensuring their well-being.Assisting in providing regular communication to parents.Cultivating positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.Participating in professional development initiatives.Adhering to Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Regulations and Active Start's policies and procedures to ensure quality care.QualificationsPrior childcare/daycare experience (preferably kindergarten experience)Level 2 or 3 Child Care Certification (or equivalent)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesProfessional, adaptable, and fluent in EnglishProficiency in computer applications and administrative systemsKnowledge of Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations (preferred)Current Criminal Record Check and First Aid Certification Why Join Active Start?
