We are currently looking for Commercial Pipefitters of all levels to join our team in Calgary   What's In It For You Competitive pay rates - Journeyman rate of $44.00 + Holiday pay Extensive benefit plan Inclusive and engaging work environment  RRSP contributions  Fun company events and barbeques    Key Responsibilities  Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements Make detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation  Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal, plastic and fiberglass pipes, valves and fittings  Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines Select type and size of pipe required Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system Install supports, valves, piping and control systems Test system for leaks using testing equipment Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system Mentor and train apprentices Performs other duties as required   Skills and Abilities  Ability to show up to work on time everyday Strong work ethic and positive team attitude Meet the physical demands of the job for lifting, standing, kneeling, etc.  Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy Ability to take orders and follow instructions Ability to prioritize workloads and utilize planning & time management skills to adhere to strict deadlines Ability to work alone or as part of a work crew Ability to complete work and meet deadlines with little supervision   Knowledge and Qualifications Blueprint reading Knowledge of current applicable Code Superior knowledge of applicable hand tools & power tools and scissor lifts Installation, maintenance, and repair skills. Ability to lead others in troubleshooting and emergency repairs. Ability to develop and implement planned maintenance programs.
