We are looking for a Presales Engineer who is accustomed to solving customers’ most complex problems and collaborating with sales to close large deals. In this role you will work directly with the sales team and channel partners to understand the needs of our customers, strategize on how to navigate winning sales cycles, provide compelling value-based demonstrations, support enterprise Proof of Concepts, and ultimately close business.  Success in this role means bridging sales and delivery by enabling deal closure through technical expertise, customer engagement, and solution design. The Presales Solution Engineer ensures solutions are feasible, valuable, and executable, creating clarity for both the client and the delivery team while actively contributing to project execution to maintain continuity and delivery success.  Success in this role will look like:  Partner with Sales and Solution Architects to ensure proposed solutions align with customer needs and our delivery capabilities  Lead discovery conversations to uncover business goals, technical constraints, and success criteria  Engage directly with prospects to build trust through domain expertise, consultative guidance, and storytelling from past customer, industry, and project experience  Articulate and match our offerings to customer needs, recommending a appropriate solutions  Translate business needs into technical scope that supports successful solutioning and delivery  Craft and showcase high-impact presales materials that drive client trust and accelerate their decision-making, including reference architectures, cost estimates, solution accelerators, demos, and previous success stories  Articulate solution options and trade-offs, guiding customers toward informed decisions  Lead technical presentations and demos during pre-sales, showcasing solution capabilities to technical and business audiences  Collaborate with the Solution Review Board to estimate effort, identify risks, validate architecture, delivery feasibility, and ensure alignment with delivery methodology  Contribute to Statements of Work review, ensuring scope, assumptions, and success criteria are clearly defined and defensible  Actively contribute to project execution to maintain continuity between pre-sales and delivery phases  Uphold delivery standards by ensuring proposed solutions are maintainable, scalable, and aligned with long-term client success  Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to maintain technical expertise and credibility in consulting customers  Identify new opportunities and patterns in customer needs during customer engagements that can be used to expand our offerings  You will thrive in this position if:  Outstanding presentation skills to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos  Strong consultative sales experience serving as a customer-facing technical lead  Broad range of experience within large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics and cloud technologies. For example, Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric  Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python  Ability to connect a customer’s specific business problems and Snowflake’s solutions  Ability to do deep discovery of customer’s architecture framework and connect those with Snowflake Data Architecture  University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred  Experience working with Snowflake technology  Experience with GSIs (EY, Deloitte, Accenture, etc), would be beneficial, but not required  Expect approximately 30% travel  Powered by JazzHR
