Hardware Supervisor

As a Hardware Supervisor with Tofino Co-op, you will support the Hardware Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring excellent customer service, safe work practices, and efficient operations. This role involves coaching, training, and leading team members while fostering a positive, customer-focused environment.Duties & Responsibilities: Assist in organizing, directing, and coordinating daily department tasksSupport inventory management, ordering, and staff schedulingSupervise, train, coach, and resolve conflicts among Hardware team membersEnsure timely and accurate completion of ordersMaintain well-stocked shelves and a clean, organized departmentEnsure all safety guidelines are followed, including proper PPE use, condition and availabilityProcess invoices and maintain accurate receiving documentationProvide excellent customer service and resolve concerns in a courteous and efficient mannerLead and inspire team members to achieve operational and service excellenceDeliver the brand promise and guest experience, ensuring the feeling of “You’re at home here”Work collaboratively with the Hardware Manager, retail advisors and team members to execute programs and initiativesOther duties as assignedQualifications:Secondary school diploma preferredPrevious experience in construction or a similar field is considered an assetMinimum two years supervisory experience preferred, ideally in Hardware or other retail Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlinesBasic computer and inventory system knowledge an assetWorking Conditions:Flexible - must be willing to work a variety of hours, including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the business Physical Requirements:Constant standing and walking throughout shift for up to 8 hoursPhysically demanding; frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbsKneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending stairsWhat Tofino Co-op Offers:Full Benefits Plan including Health and Wellness Benefits, Extended Health Care, Dental, Life Insurance, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Insurance;Employer Matched Pension Plan (7.5% Matched);Employee Family Assistance Program;Competitive wages paid bi-weekly;Tuition Assistance;Excellent Opportunities for further development and advancement.If this opportunity speaks to you, we invite you to apply online by February 15, 2026.
