Worker Type: EmployeeJob Post End Date: 02/04/2026About this opportunity:Cenovus is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Turnarounds, to join our Oil Sands team. Reporting to the Superintendent, Turnarounds & Major Maintenance, this role is responsible for the planning, strategy, readiness, and execution of assigned Turnaround events. The Senior Coordinator leads the development of integrated plans, ensuring alignment across stakeholders to enable safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution.This role requires travel to all four Oil Sands sites to support planning and execution activities, as required.This position is located in Calgary, AlbertaWhat you’ll do:Provide leadership, coaching, and development to team members while fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment.Lead Turnaround (TA) milestone planning, including assigning action owners, tracking progress, and managing adherence to schedule and budget.Ensure the approved work scope aligns with the Event Charter and budget, and lead scope reviews to identify and assess risks.Drive scope validation to confirm work is risk-assessed, justified, approved, and ready for detailed planning.Develop and approve risk mitigation and contracting strategies to support execution readiness.Set planning quality standards, monitor progress, and coordinate readiness audits.Communicate event readiness and status to stakeholders and coordinate field execution with TA execution specialists.Monitor event performance across safety, schedule, critical path, cost, productivity, and issue daily reports during execution.Lead the Core Team through preparation and execution, providing stewardship and updates to Steering and Strategy Committees.Who you are:Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:Legally authorized to work in CanadaMinimum of 12 years of leadership experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in Turnaround and Maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Proven experience with maintenance standard processes and leading optimization and alignment initiatives.Strong knowledge of maintenance, reliability, and project management principles.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to travel to multiple sites as required.We acknowledge the value of transferable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.Note: The application deadline for this position is 11:59 PM MT February 3rd, 2026.Who we are:Ranked as one of Canada’s Best Employers in 2025, Cenovus is an integrated energy company headquartered in Calgary.
