You will be responsible for the entire shipping and receiving cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and safety at every step. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable operating a counterbalance forklift and has excellent computer skills to manage inventory and communications effectively. This role is a crucial component of our client's manufacturing & logistics operations, ensuring that the right products get to the right place at the right time. Your work will involve not only in-house duties but also visiting customer sites, making you a key ambassador for the company. If you are a self-starter with a passion for organization and customer service, this Shipper/Receiver position offers the stability and growth you've been searching for.Advantages• A competitive annual salary ranging from $55,000 to $65,000.• A stable, full-time, permanent position offering job security.• A desirable day shift schedule: Monday to Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.• A comprehensive benefits package that becomes effective after just 30 days of employment.• Full coverage for dental, vision, massage, and physiotherapy to support your health and well-being.• Access to a Health Spending Account (HSA), flex spending dollars, and an employee wellness program.• A generous retirement savings plan with a 5% company matching contribution to your RRSP.• Three weeks of paid vacation after your first year of service.• Long-Term Disability (LTD) coverage for financial peace of mind.• Company-provided safety shoes, which are replaced every two years.• The opportunity to work within a supportive team environment as a key member of the manufacturing & logistics division.Responsibilities• Perform all shipping and receiving duties, including the accurate verification, inspection, and documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments.• Unload materials from trucks, which may include items such as drums of oil, tires, and various industrial safety products.• Operate a sit-down counterbalance (CB) forklift safely and efficiently to move, convey, and hoist shipments (training can be provided for the right candidate).• Manage inventory tasks with precision, including cycle counts, stock organization, and maintaining accurate records using company computer systems.• Travel to customer and supplier locations to provide on-site support, which may include managing industrial supply vending machines and utilizing RFID technology.• Prepare and process all necessary shipping documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders, to route materials correctly.• Pack, seal, and label materials to prepare them for shipping, ensuring all packages are secure and compliant with specifications.Qualifications• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, crucial for providing outstanding customer service and collaborating with team members.• Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to quickly learn new software for inventory management, data entry, and communication.• A proactive, self-starter attitude with the proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in record-keeping, order fulfillment, and inventory control.• Strong problem-solving skills to effectively address shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, or customer inquiries.• Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks, including frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.• A strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures within a manufacturing & logistics warehouse setting.SummaryReady to take the next step in your career as a Shipper/Receiver?
