Driver TrainerLocation: Timmins, ONSchedule: Part‑TimePosition SummaryFirst Student is seeking an experienced and safety‑focused Part‑Time Driver Trainer to support our Timmins, Ontario location.In this role, you will provide classroom and behind‑the‑wheel training to new and existing school bus drivers, ensuring compliance with Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations, First Student safety standards, and local school board requirements.This position is well suited for an experienced school bus driver who enjoys mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and making a positive impact in the community through part‑time work.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver classroom and behind‑the‑wheel training for new school bus driversProvide refresher or remedial training to existing drivers as requiredCoach and mentor drivers with a focus on safe driving practices and regulatory complianceEvaluate driver performance to ensure required skill levels and certifications are metMaintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with MTO, company, and contract requirementsSupport overall safety initiatives at the locationIdentify performance gaps and collaborate with local leadership to develop training plansParticipate in meetings and training sessions as requiredPerform other duties related to safety and training as assignedQualifications & ExperienceValid Ontario Class B or higher licence with appropriate endorsements (or equivalent)Minimum two (2) years of school bus or commercial driving experienceClean driver abstract dated within the past 30 daysStrong communication, mentoring, and coaching skillsAbility to work independently with limited supervisionWhy Join First Student?Competitive hourly wageSupportive and team‑focused work environmentOpportunities for growth and advancementStrong commitment to safety and service excellenceApply now and help train the next generation of safe school bus drivers in Timmins.
