Respiratory therapists work in all care areas and are heavily relied upon by physicians and allied health professionals to provide advanced life-sustaining treatments in a family-centered approach.Hours of Work Rotating shifts, 11.25 hrs, as per self-scheduling guidelinesYour Qualifications We would love to hear from you if you are registered, or eligible to be registered with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists (NSCRT), have successfully completed a Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Basic Life Support (BLS) program, and graduated from a Respiratory Therapist program. NRP, PALS, and ACLS are required within the last 12 months or are currently enrolled. Demonstrated clinical and technical competence in a Neonatal/Pediatric/Adult setting. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently. Demonstrated competence in communication, interpersonal relations, problem-solving, computer applications, and innovation. Demonstrated ability to keep current in therapeutic and technological advances in respiratory care. Competencies in other languages are an asset.
