Job Descriptiondestinationone Consulting is proud to exclusively partner with PMF Brands (Nanak Foods), who is hiring a Lead Electrician for their Surrey, BC facility.About Nanak Foods:From modest beginnings, PMF Brands (Nanak Foods) is now North America’s largest processor of traditional dairy-based South Asian foods. Established in 1997, Nanak Foods specializes in the manufacturing of paneer cheese, ghee (clarified butter), yogurt and various dairy-based appetizers and desserts. Nanak Foods manufacturing facilities are CFIA, FDA and EU approved and have Safe Quality Food (SQF) level 3 certification ensuring continual monitoring for quality, safety and legality.A lead electrician plans and coordinates electrical projects, leading a team to install, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment while ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards. Key responsibilities include preparing material lists, collaborating with various stakeholders, providing technical input on designs, and maintaining a tidy and safe work environment. This role is a leadership position that requires extensive experience and technical knowledge beyond that of a journeyman electrician.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Coordination: Develops project workflows, prepares material lists, and orders necessary supplies.Team Leadership: Guides and oversees the work of an electrical team, ensuring tasks are completed as assigned.Installation & Repair: Installs, assembles, tests, and repairs electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related equipment.Code Compliance: Ensures all electrical installations meet or exceed relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and client expectations.Troubleshooting: Actively identifies and resolves issues with electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.Collaboration: Works closely with installation teams, utility companies, and inspectors.Inventory Management: Maintains adequate inventory of consumables and ensures equipment is readily available.Site and equipment Inspections: Conducts site inspections to ensure work quality and safety.Set priorities and work assignments to meet established deadlines.Perform diagnostics, repair, maintain, service and install equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations.Ensuring workplace safety by following WorkSafeBC safe working guidelines, with safety at the forefront of your decision-making.Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.Inspect electrical components, equipment, and systems to ensure safe operation.Lead, supervise, and train apprentices and journeyman electricians.Coordinate with contractors, clients, and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion.Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and safety regulations.Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to minimize downtimeTroubleshoot, repair, and test motors, PLCs, drives, and control panelsRequirementsA growth mindset: above all else, we’re looking for people who are dependable, ambitious and want to grow with PMF.Instrumentation experience is an assetMaster Electrician certification is an assetRed seal Industrial electricianExperience with wiring, panel installation, motors, transformers, and troubleshooting electrical systems.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical ability to perform electrical work, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.Must have a class 5 driver’s license with clean drivers abstract.Experience in Refrigeration, HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanics an asset.About destinationone Consultingdestinationone Consulting is a North America–based strategic recruitment, executive search, and HR advisory firm serving purpose-led organizations across high-impact industries.
