You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from customer sites and other AIM facilities.What you're responsible for:Operating a 12-wheel, class 1 commercial vehicle to transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipment and secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit Performing manual tarping if necessary Performing routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition Completing accurate and thorough records of deliveries and any other required documentation Follow safety and driving regulations at all timesProvide excellent customer serviceQualificationsTo join our team:You have a valid class 1 FM driver's license with a clean Driving RecordYou have experience operating a manual transmission (required) You have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a class 1 truck driver You are customer service oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skillsYou have good physical stamina and the ability to perform loading and unloading activities as required.You are familiar with metal recycling processes and materials (an asset) You have experience with roll-off trucks (an asset)You are physically fit and safety-orientedYou are reliable, punctual, and respectful of equipment
