Run what runs the worldThis Position reports to:Senior Engineering Manager As a Control Engineer, you will serve as a design authority for engineering projects within the Process Industries – Power Conversion and Metals sector. You will contribute to the successful delivery of moderate to large-scale projects by ensuring technical excellence, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with safety, quality, and cybersecurity standards.The work model for the role is hybrid.Your Role: Own the Challenge Lead the design and engineering of high-power rectifier systems, including schematic development and PLC programming.Support sales and tendering teams with technical expertise during the bidding process.Ensure all engineering activities follow internal guidelines and processes for successful project delivery.Collaborate with manufacturing, testing, and commissioning teams to ensure proper assembly, staging, and installation of equipment.Participate in shop testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of high-power rectifier designs.Provide remote and onsite support to customers for rectifier systems.Seek and incorporate customer feedback to improve solutions and service quality.What it takes to run what runs the world 3–7 years of experience in control engineering or a related field, with hands-on exposure to the manufacturing industry.Bachelor or Master's in Electrical Engineering.Strong knowledge of power electronics, electrical and control schematics, and PLC programming.Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with customers in both remote and onsite settings.Member of Order of Engineers of Quebec or in process of enrollment.French is required.
