The Service and Warehouse Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service and warehouse functions. This dynamic position involves handling service-related calls from clients and staff, coordinating local and national service technicians, and maintaining the SBS warehouse to high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and readiness. The role demands a high level of detail orientation, time management, and proactive planning to support various internal and external initiatives effectively.
Position Responsibilities:
Warehouse Maintenance and Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the warehouse.
- Coordinate regular cleaning schedules for the service shop and warehouse to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Service Coordination:
- Receiving incoming service-related calls and coordinating appropriate responses.
- Schedule and dispatch local and national service technicians to optimize efficiency and meet client needs promptly.
- Coordinate with various departments, including Quoting, Order Entry, and Purchasing, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Internal Support:
- Oversee the testing of machines prior to shipping and installation to ensure quality and functionality.
- Collaborate with the sales team and clients to manage timing and site readiness for installations.
- Assist with the picking, packaging, and shipping of orders to meet delivery schedules.
- Organize carrier logistics to facilitate smooth transportation of goods.
Sales Department Support:
- Plan and execute tasks according to sales initiatives as directed by the Operational Supervisor.
- Assist the sales team with coordination and logistical support for various sales activities.
Company-Wide Support:
- Coordinate van service and building maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Support marketing events by coordinating warehouse and service staff appropriately.
- Follow up on customer issues to provide timely solutions and recommendations for equipment repair.
- Report any mishaps, accidents, personal injuries, or sickness immediately to maintain a safe working environment.
- Be available for potential weekend and evening on-call duties to address urgent service needs.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed to meet the demands of the role.
- Proactively seek solutions to enhance service delivery and warehouse operations.
