As our new Plant Manager, you will:

  • Lead supply chain and ERP integration. You will oversee the integration of supply chain management with production operations through ERP systems and shop floor controls, ensuring real-time visibility into material flows, inventory levels, and production schedules. You will collaborate with supply chain teams to forecast demand, optimize stock levels, and manage vendor relationships for efficient material procurement.
  • Leverage ERP systems. You will manage production planning and scheduling using ERP systems to optimize resource utilization and workflows. You will track performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions. You will oversee procurement, inventory control, and materials management to minimize costs, prevent stockouts, and ensure the timely availability of resources. You will ensure effective inventory management through the use of Kanban, JIT (Just-in-Time), and other lean methodologies within the ERP framework.
  • Apply quality control guidelines. You will ensure high-quality production through stringent control measures and continuous improvement of processes. You will regularly update senior management on production performance, supply chain challenges, and improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a lean production environment. You will implement and sustain lean manufacturing practices, utilizing tools such as value stream mapping, SMED, and TPM to reduce lead times and optimize workflows. You will apply ERP data analysis to support lean initiatives, improve production line balancing, and reduce setup times. You will drive continuous improvement efforts through regular Gemba walks, identifying areas for operational enhancements and ERP system optimizations.

You have:

  • The experience. • The technical skills. You have an engineering mindset and an understanding of the technical side of manufacturing. You appreciate the speed and efficiency new technologies can bring to plant operations, and you can quickly come up to speed with new tools. You may have exposure to leveraging ERP systems, particularly in the production planning module, to manage production scheduling, inventory control, and resource allocation.
  • The leadership skills. You have grown your career in product manufacturing and have insights into best practices, financial and business operations, and applying strategic innovation. You have experience leading projects and teams. You may have been part of integrating supply chain management with production operations in a manufacturing setting. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred, but an understanding of how to apply these principles to a product manufacturing environment is equally valuable.
  • The interpersonal skills. You have professional written and verbal communication skills and can translate technical concepts and production workflow to non-technical audiences. You can build trusting working relationships and influence decision-makers. You are detail-oriented, committed to delivering high-quality work, and capable of inspiring the same in others.
