Hiring: Formulation Specialist - Marine & Protective Coatings

Join our innovative team as a Formulation Specialist, leading advanced coating formulation projects from R&D through commercialization. We specialize in marine and industrial protective coatings, emphasizing sustainability, innovation, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead coating formulation and development from laboratory to market-ready products.
  • Optimize existing formulations to meet market demands and environmental standards.
  • Design and execute structured R&D projects with clear objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure accurate documentation following ISO standards and assist with regulatory compliance submissions (e.g., Lloyds Register).
  • Conduct comprehensive laboratory and field testing; analyze data for continuous product improvement.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality control, regulatory, and sales teams for successful scale-up and commercialization.
  • Provide expert technical support, troubleshooting assistance, and application guidance.
  • Promote and adhere strictly to safety protocols, ensuring a safe laboratory environment.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience in marine and protective coatings formulation.
  • Knowledge of surface chemistry, materials science, coating performance, and evaluation techniques.
  • Familiarity with Lloyds Register, ISO regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in laboratory data management and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven success in product scale-up and commercialization.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree (Masters preferred) in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Coating Technology, Materials Science, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in coating formulation, research, development, and commercialization, particularly marine or industrial coatings.
  • Expertise in R&D and QC procedures aligned with ISO 9001 and regulatory compliance.
