Pivotal Staffing is hiring for an Operations Coordinator for our client in Scarborough.

Must have experience with ERP, Purchasing and has done Supply Chain

This is a permanent role.

Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm

Job Summary:

The Operations department is responsible, for Procurement, Inventory Control Warehousing, Logistics, Production Planning & Facilities Management.

Main Responsibilities:

· Works closely with the Operations Manager.

· Assists in managing Inventory Levels, overseeing monthly cycle counts to ensure accuracy; analyzes variances and implements corrective action; root cause analysis.

· Assists in the Purchasing function by managing custom MRP; issuing PO's; Maintains vendor Price List; Expedites past due PO's. Source, issues, and follows up on non-inventory (MISC/MRO) purchases.

· Processing order confirmations from suppliers in a timely and accurate manner

· Coordinates inbound freight with logistic providers, monitors and tracks shipments to ensure goods are delivered on time; manages inbound freight log.

· Prepares commercial/pro-forma invoices for cross-border shipments.

· Maintains the Operations Dept. paper and electronic filing systems.

· Report all shortages, shipment errors and/or damages to Suppliers within stipulated compliance timeframe of 24 hours. Follows up to ensure appropriate credits are received & transport claims are filed. Authorizes payments of invoices.

· Assists the Operations Manage in setting Master Production plan, production scheduling.

· Maintains a consistent system for information tracking & retrieval to ensure information accessibility.

· Identifies, recommends and supports continuous improvement efforts with Operations Manager.

· Supports the Operations Manager with Production Planning tasks as required.

· Preparation and co-ordination of all vendors' returns including but not limited to, analyzing items for return, preparation, communicating with vendors, obtaining Return Authorization, shipment and customs preparation, and ensuring proper credits are received. As well as creating and maintaining electronic database records.

Other requirements.

· Regular, reliable attendance

· Work Productively and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

· Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with all members of the Operations group as well as other departments as needed.

· Perform work safely and effectively. Understand oral and written instructions.

· Depending on project scope, the incumbent could be required to work overtime to complete tasks.

· Manages Payroll/Attendance/Vacation/Sick day records for Operations staff.

· Co-ordinates social events for Ops group.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:

· A proactive attitude a must.

· ERP Knowledge a must; JDE/SAP/SAGE specifically inventory management, purchasing, WMS.

· Administration and/or combination of education and experience

· Minimum 1-2 Years experience with procurement, warehousing, inventory management.

· Strong Excel skills, Competency with MS Office.

· Keen attention to detail.

· Critical Thinking and strong mathematical aptitude.

· The incumbent would be required to handle cross functional requirements on demand.

· Proven understanding of ABC analytics.

· Ideally a business administration degree or diploma in a related discipline.

· Excellent organizational & communication skills (both written & verbal)

· Proven customer service skills.

· A willingness to update job knowledge as the position evolves through formal & informal educational courses/seminars.
