We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team and support a variety of core Finance functions.This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail oriented, proactive individual eager to develop their skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. Responsibilities Participate in preparing accurate and timely monthly variable compensation calculations and payments for external advisors Maintain documentation around advisor compensation processes Investigate and resolve any commission-related issues or disputes Detect errors, omissions and inconsistencies in data Support development of business metrics and KPI’s Responsible for preparing journal entries and accruals ensuring accurate month end financial reporting Prepare monthly account reconciliations, identify anomalies, investigate and resolve discrepancies Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial results Support external audits with required documentation Collaborate with team members within Finance and other business units Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives, continually challenging the status quo Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field 2-5 years work experience, preferably in a financial/insurance environment Proficient in Excel, experience in Power BI an asset Strong analytical and inquiry skills to understand operational processes and constraints Highly organized, detail oriented, proactive, and ability to multitask Ability to develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships within Finance and across the organization CPA designation (or working towards it) is an asset Navacord, and all our Broker Partners are actively committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
