Job Description Position Summary for X-Ray Technologist/ Registered Mammographer (MRT) - FULL TIME Hamilton Diagnostic Imaging Work primarily as a Mammography Technologist. Perform a variety of Mammographic procedures at a technical level. Work as a part of a team with a commitment to excellent patient care. Perform high quality Breast Imaging with competence and care. Comprehensive education and knowledge of anatomy and physiology, Working knowledge of equipment and ability to troubleshoot problems. The Registered Technologist is responsible to maintain competency and follow standards, as outlined by the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO). Qualifications and Skills Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO) required. Membership in the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and/or the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (OAMRT) preferred. Completed Mammography I and Mammography II courses preferred, or in progress. Completed Certificate in Breast Imaging - Screening (CBIS) certification preferred, or in progress. Recent related experience with Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) and the High Risk OBSP Program preferred. ISCD or OAR certification preferred. Current BCLS certification preferred. Initiative, responsibility and organization required. Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as computer skillls required. Have knowledge of all mammography exams, anatomy & physiology, physics and imaging equipment required. Experience and ability to image accurately, thoroughly and quickly required. Experience working with mammography exams, equipment, PACS and computer software required. Provide records of continued education and learning. Problem-solving, time management and teamwork skills required. Commitment to excellence in patient care required.
