Job Title: Long Haul Truck Drivers Number of vacancies: 6 Term of employment: Full-time, Permanent Position with 40-50 hours per week Job location: Travel across Canada and USA with base at 2524 216 Street Langley, BC V2Z 1P4 Shifts: Weekdays, Weekends, Evenings Salary: $37 per hour. Overtime at the rate of 1.5 times per hour exceeding 60 hours per week Job requirements: . Credentials: Class 1 or A driver's license with air brake endorsement. . Education: High School . Experience: No experience required. On the job training will be provided . Additional Skills: . Basic English is required to understand road signs and fill logbook . Be able to work in individuals or in a team . Clean driving abstract Type of Travel: Long Haul, Regional, Provincial/ Territorial, national and International Duties: . Operate and drive trucks /trailer to transport goods and material to destinations all over Canada and USA. . Oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety and security of cargo. . Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment. . Maintain logbook, record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other information in logbook. . Obtain special permits to cross Canada/USA borders. . Coordinate with dispatcher.
