Position Summary

This position performs advanced administrative responsibilities including preparation and analysis of more complex reports, compilation of information from various sources, handling small scale projects, and analysis using various software programs. This position performs general office duties that may include word processing, data entry, auditing documents, answering phones, distributing mail, coordinating meetings and other duties as assigned. They may deal with confidential material on a regular basis.

Job-Type: Permanent, Full Time

Location: 2900 Steeles Ave W, Concord, ON L4K 3S2, Canada

Pay rate : $ 18.67/hr.

Shift hours: 10: 00 PM to 6:00 AM

Workdays: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch drivers with loads across the country, adhering to service levels, transit times, and sort indicators.
  • Coordinate and manage overflow logistics efficiently.
  • Oversee drivers' hours of service to ensure compliance and optimal scheduling.
  • Perform Yard Control duties by assigning and tracking trailer movements during sorting operations.
  • Answer telephones, perform data entry, and manage filing tasks.
  • Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Organize and maintain departmental calendars and schedules.
  • Coordinate departmental meetings, including catering and travel arrangements for multiple participants.
  • Prepare and manage information for internal distribution and usage.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
  • Strong data entry skills with accuracy and speed.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in problem-solving, basic research, and time management.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Ability to prepare detailed and accurate documentation.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
