Summary

The Assembly Technician is responsible for the final assembly of KIOTI products including but not limited to Tractors, ZTRs, UTVs, Construction Equipment, Attachments, Implements, Parts and Accessories. This position will require a mechanical background, aptitude or a strong desire to learn. Must be willing to use overhead crane and work with heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup and assembly of equipment per customer request (tires, steering wheel, mowers, etc.)
  • Utilize computer system to order missing or broken parts
  • Update computer system with build progress and print paperwork with high level of organization
  • Use of overhead crane to lift heavy equipment and parts (Training/Certification can be provided)
  • Ability to recognize problems and find solutions. (Example: parts not fitting correctly or paint needing to be touched up)
  • Forklift certification required to move material using forklift (Training/Certification can be provided)
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the assembly area
  • Perform regular inventory of tools as well as reporting lost, damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the direct supervisor
  • Perform job duties with high level of safety for yourself and team members

Educational and Physical requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Training in related areas of mechanics and/or assembly preferred.
  • 2-4 years of mechanical/assembly related experience required.
  • Training in overhead hoist equipment will be required annually.
  • Must be forklift operator certified and comfortable moving large items around in a warehouse environment.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude and a strong ability to solve problems independently.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds periodically.
  • Work performed in a combination of shop and office environments exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils, etc.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility
