Position

Junior Teacher at St. Marguerite d'Youville Catholic Elementary School

LTO Assignment

Qualifications:
  • Must have a Bachelor of Education Degree and must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Qualifications appropriate to the position are required. As an applicant, you must be qualified at the time of the posting to be eligible
  • Previous elementary teaching experience preferred
  • A working knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession
  • A practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life
  • Proficient knowledge & understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation & assessment techniques
  • Current in understanding of research, integrating technology, and best instructional practices
  • Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment for all students
Application Portfolio Requirements:
  • Resume/Curriculum Vitae
  • Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Registration in Good Standing and Certificate of Qualification
  • Commitment to Catholic Education (form CCE - form Teachers)
  • Baptismal Certificate or Proof of Initiation into the Roman Catholic Church
  • Copies of most recent Performance Appraisal and/or Practice Teaching Reports
  • A minimum of three professional references (e.g., Principals, Vice-principals, associate-teachers, supervisors, etc.)
