Job description:


Our group is seeking self-motivated and energetic individuals who are interested in sales and wealth management. Our company prides itself on transparency and honesty, which has allowed us to flourish as a new-age firm in an industry filled with outdated and inefficient strategies.


As an Associate, you will work with Senior Advisors who have experience with clients from diverse backgrounds and financial situations requiring custom financial plans and investment strategies. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in sales, finance, and business.


You will spend most of your time on the phone, speaking to business owners and corporate executives who may need help with their finances. This position is heavily sales-oriented and requires you to be in our Oakville office. Ultimately, if the Associate is successful in their first year in the position, they will begin transitioning to an advisory position with the goal of managing their own clients. Alternatively, the Associate can progress into a full-time financial planning position, based on their goals and strengths.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform outgoing sales calls (cold and warm calls) aimed at identifying and qualifying potential clients.
  • Cold and warm calling where 90% of your time will be on the phone, so you can learn to speak to prospects and excel at the phone conversations with them.
  • Organize and maintain a database of prospects and clients.
  • Facilitate and be part of the client on-boarding process.
  • Manage your sales pipeline from start to finish.
  • Follow up with leads and prospects.
  • Research and analyze investment vehicles.
  • Create financial plans for prospects.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments.


Skills & Qualifications

  • General interest in sales, wealth management, finance, or business.
  • Business development sales aptitude and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong work ethic and affinity for sales.
  • Ability to follow guidelines and instructions.
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of integrity.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • High degree of self-confidence and leadership.
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter.
  • Client service mindset – client-facing experience is a plus but not required.
  • Previous experience in retail, customer service, marketing or finance is an asset.
