The role of Senior Hydrogeologist comes with the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule and will provide you with the opportunity to:
- Join a dynamic team of professionals committed to delivering high quality hydrogeological and environmental services.
- Further develop your knowledge and technical skills in hydrogeology through challenging projects.
- Engage in both field and office-based hydrogeology work on projects such as tailings and water storage dams, mine water management, dewatering, water supply, contaminant hydrogeology and other environmental and engineering applications.
- Conduct groundwater and hydrochemical analysis and modelling.
- Provide input and be recognized for your contributions to the team and projects.
- Broaden your professional practice by working on multi-disciplinary engineering projects while maintaining your focus in hydrogeology.
We respect the knowledge and experience you have gained to date and are willing to help you build on it. We do however require the following qualifications:
- A degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Geological engineering, with a track record of continued development
- At least fifteen years’ experience in hydrogeology including related to tailings and water storage dams, mine water management, dewatering, water supply, contaminant hydrogeology.
- Willingness to travel to sometimes remote sites to engage in field work
- Experience designing, installing and field testing of wells for water supply projects, aquifer feasibility studies, dewatering / depressurization and monitoring projects.
- Experience in implementing and undertaking groundwater and environmental monitoring and sampling programs.
- Working knowledge of industry standard software packages including: AQTESOLV, Leapfrog, Surfer, and GIS software.
- Working knowledge of industry standard groundwater modelling software packages including MODFLOW, FEFLOW, and SEEP/W.
- Eligibility to become professionally registered in your home jurisdiction.
- An ability to build relationships with multidisciplinary project-based teams.
- Experience in a safety focused environment with near miss and incident reporting requirements.
