Job Summary

The Electromechanical Technician will support the engineering department with troubleshooting machinery related to programming, Sensors, Mechanical systems & other maintenance items. They will support and maintain production lines to maximize effectiveness, efficiency, and space. The Electromechanical Engineer Technician will also make sure the facility complies with all industry standards for safety.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install electromechanical equipment, such as robotic systems, actuators, control panels, and motors.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical failures in automated systems.
  • Conduct tests on electrical and mechanical components to identify malfunctions or ensure proper functioning.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to assess performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Calibrate equipment to meet safety and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering team to develop and improve systems.
  • Maintain records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and test results.
  • Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces and other automation tools
  • Other core expectations as defined by the company

Requirements And Skills

  • Education related to Electromechanical Technician field required
  • Production or Manufacturing environment experience preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); CAD or AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP
  • Excellent project management, analytical, time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written); must be able to present information both verbally and in writing
  • Commitment to high professional and ethical standards

Working conditions

  • Hours of work may vary depending on business needs
  • This job operates in a clerical, office setting. Moderate work in a refrigerated warehouse, where temperatures range. The noise level in the work environment can be loud due to packaging machinery, and forklift truck operation.
  • Role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Specific vision capabilities required; employee is to work in front of a computer, sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods is required.
  • The position requires the ability to regularly lift to 30-pounds, occasionally up to 50-pounds.
