Manager, Assurance and Accounting, Indigenous Services

Make an impact within our Indigenous Services team as a Manager, Assurance and Accounting. Our clients include various First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities as well as Indigenous organizations and associations across the country. We support our clients to develop strategic, business and operational plans that are thoughtful as much as engagement driven. Responsibilities
- Lead the dynamic planning, scheduling and execution of audits, compliance tax engagements, budgeting, internal controls and financial/accounting transactions with Indigenous communities and enterprises
- Deliver your industry and technical expertise in audit and assurance through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations and high-quality deliverables
- Manage a portfolio of clients while understanding their business, key risks and ways to deliver added value; ensure clients’ needs are met and that relationships and accounts grow and develop
- Maintain quality control using your specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues relevant to the client’s business, financial entries and reports
- Create connections within the vibrant Indigenous community, developing business development opportunities and preparing compelling proposals to meet client needs
- Mentor, motivate and inspire team members team members towards professional and personal growth through clear guidance, constructive feedback, and impactful performance reviews
- Maintain flexibility to travel to engage with client in-person
- CPA designation
- 4 to 6 years of relevant public accounting experience
- Experience working with Indigenous communities or enterprises an asset
- Strong understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles
- Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills
