Windows 11 troubleshooting and PowerShell automation define this Desktop Engineer contract in Toronto, using hybrid work with two onsite days weekly.
Support a banking environment’s core infrastructure team with enterprise device compliance and remediation. This Desktop Engineer role requires six-plus years in desktop support or workstation maintenance, plus advanced Windows 11, patch management, PowerShell, and endpoint management experience. Work spans project-based initiatives and business-as-usual support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose operating system and Office patch compliance issues
- Analyze non-compliant device root causes and corrective actions
- Develop PowerShell scripts for recurring compliance problems
- Test automated patching and driver update solutions
- Support Windows 11 upgrades and compliant configurations
Requirements:
- Six-plus years supporting desktops or maintaining workstations
- Advanced Windows 11 configuration, patching, and driver troubleshooting
- PowerShell automation experience for maintenance and compliance tasks
- Hands-on Intune or SCCM endpoint management experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Information Technology experience
