Lead person-centered resident programs at Extendicare Oakview Place in Winnipeg, using recreation leadership to strengthen participation, satisfaction, and quality of life.
As Manager, Resident Programs, you will lead recreation staff and volunteers in a long-term care setting. You will plan meaningful activities, support community engagement, manage departmental budgets, and uphold Extendicare’s principles. This position emphasizes seniors’ well-being, resident and family satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate recreation staff and volunteers
- Develop and implement meaningful resident programs
- Achieve resident and family satisfaction targets
- Manage budgets and monitor departmental expenditures
- Promote community engagement through volunteers and partners
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Recreation Therapy or Therapeutic Recreation
- At least one year of health care experience
- Two years’ senior care program planning experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Search within six months
