As a Senior Flight Software Engineer, you will guide the design and implementation of real-time embedded flight software solutions while mentoring junior engineers. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in safety-critical software development and strong communication skills. You will play a central role in defining software architectures and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead design and development of real-time embedded flight software
• Define and document complex software designs for the team
• Review software designs and ensure quality and compliance
• Mentor junior engineers on design trade-offs and best practices
• Develop and execute automated tests to verify software functionality
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in related engineering field
• 10 years of experience in embedded software applications
• 5 years with Vx Works and C++ experience
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to obtain Reliability Status security clearance
