Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Telecommunications Engineer to lead governance, planning, design, commissioning, and maintenance of Operational Technology (OT) systems, including telecommunications, fiber, radio, and SCADA. As the subject matter expert and Engineer of Record, you will drive telecom projects, support capital initiatives such as new substations and grid upgrades, and develop and maintain OT standards and fiber maintenance programs. Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of OT systems (telecom, fiber, radio, SCADA). Act as Engineer of Record for telecommunications projects. Support capital projects, including substations and grid modernization. Develop and maintain OT standards and fiber maintenance plans. Manage project budgets, schedules, and risks. Supervise and mentor technologists. Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Asset Management, Cybersecurity) and external partners to deliver efficient, future-ready communications infrastructure. Professional Engineering designation: Eng, or at minimum EIT with EGBC. 8–10 years in telecommunications engineering, ideally in a utility environment. Strong knowledge of engineering, design, operations, and maintenance of OT systems (telecom, SCADA, radio, fiber). Project management proficiency: Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and risks using project management principles. Experience in planning, project management, and developing standards or programs. Proven ability to supervise and mentor technical staff.
