We are currently seeking a Senior Manager (Engineering) to join our team. Hybrid work policy and flexible hours This role is a permanent full-time position in our Edmonton office. What does a typical day look like for our Senior Managers (Engineering)? Senior Managers are a critical part of our organizational structure. The Senior Manager will help to identify, recruit, develop and deploy top talent, while supporting engineering resources who are assigned to them. They ensure the team is positive, creative, efficient and fully aligned with Avia NG’s values. Your day may start in our Edmonton office, however often our Senior Managers travel to our various sites within the Caribbean and Canada to conduct business as well. Strategic leadership and alignment, reporting regularly to the Engineering Director on key initiatives and business performance in alignment with the organizational structure Business growth and development, accountable for maintaining day-to-day project management practices and client interactions Financial and operational accountability, supporting project budgets and providing input on resource meetings to ensure efficient project allocation and staffing Project delivery and quality assurance, focusing on operational project execution and team management, overseeing the execution of day-to-day projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery. Engineering tasks include: Design of new runways, taxiways, aprons, airside service roads, airside commercial developments including associated site servicing, grading, earthworks and stormwater management Assist design teams in the development and preparation of figures, design drawings, specifications, calculations, cost estimates, quantity take-offs, technical reports, etc. Contract administration duties for infrastructure projects including but not limited to the preparation of budget/schedule updates, progress
