Please check out our website for more information on how we deliver quality and value and contribute to the growth of our communities and a greener future.Overview Complete Utility Contractors (CUC) is searching for a permanent, full-time, career-minded Skilled or Senior Labourer to join our team and bring with them experience and confidence in completing a variety of site-based civil construction tasks to assist with the installation of underground utilities including storm, water, sanitary, electrical and gas. Our business relies on individuals who are quality and safety minded, effective and respectful communicators, and teamwork driven. What you will be doingAssist with the installation of underground utilities including storm, water, sanitary, electrical and gas. Work with experienced crews and alongside heavy equipment.Basic equipment, power, and hand tool operation.Working with excavator to ensure proper grade, depths and backfill.Construction materials movement and organization, off loading/loading and disposal.Maintain good employee morale, communication, and teamwork.Understand OH&S safe work practices and procedures and follow them consistently.Provide leadership and aid in training junior employees.Provide feedback to supervisors and management on process improvements.Identifying problems and innovation/team coordinationWhat we are looking for 3 to 5 years experience in utility construction preferred or other construction streams required.Able to complete assigned tasks on the projects and direct others in the course of their work throughout the shift.Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.Positive and motivated with the willingness to learn.Must be able to work safely in a physically demanding environment.Have a good understanding of tools and materials on-site, including proper use and maintenance.Have knowledge of OH&S regulations and knowledge of construction disciplines (knowledge of materials and methods required).Valid BC Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract.Why work for Complete UtilityStable, full-time, year-round workOvertime available year-roundCompetitive compensation100% employer paid Extended Health, Dental and Vision plansRSP matching programExceptional employee inclusion, recognition, and career progression
