Balan Engineering is a structural engineering company providing design solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. We are currently recruiting for a Draftsperson position at our Tillsonburg Office with the following responsibilities and qualifications. This position is  in-office . Responsibilities Manage small projects from the design phase to construction. Coordinate and communicate effectively with project team members, designers, clients and external project consultants. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to interpret design concepts. Produce detailed drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar. Convert rough sketches and specifications of the project into detailed and accurate plans. Design small structures such as houses and small commercial buildings. Develop and prepare structural drawings, including details, plans, elevation, and design specifications. Prepare contract documents, tender documents, and other administrative documents. Understand and maintain knowledge of building code and relevant design standards. Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal oversight. Read and interpret drawings and designs. Examine drawings for conformity and errors. Conduct field reviews and prepare site reports. Qualifications Diploma in Engineering Technology/Architectural Technology or equivalent required. A valid and active BCIN number is preferred. Must be proficient with AutoCAD. Ability to generate full structural permit drawings, and specifications and provide contract administration. Accurately read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and other drawings plans. Work from and interpret rough sketches created by engineers and designers. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products. Good working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code. Knowledge and understanding of building systems, architectural standards, structural design standards and construction practices. Strong attention to detail and construction methods. A valid Ontario driver's license and personal vehicle are required.
