Merchandising Analyst – 18-month Temporary Assignment Ren’s Pets is a specialty pet retailer, Canadian owned and operated by Group Legault, with stores in Ontario and the Maritimes plus a website that ships nationally. Reporting to the Category Manager, the Merchandising Analyst will play a key role in supporting the commercialization of products within their assigned category. This position works cross functionally with multiple departments to bring unique, high-quality products to market that meet our customers’ needs and drive company growth and profitability. Support Category Manager with performance reviews and implement actions to achieve objectives. Coordinate supplier sourcing, assortment and margin management activities, in close collaboration with the National Merchandising and Category Management team. Plan and execute a promotional plan in collaboration with suppliers and the National Category Management team. Monitor trends and perform category analysis. Develop merchandising and planography strategies, in collaboration with the Space Planner, Category Manager and the National Category Management team. Ensure data integrity using SAP business processes. Degree in a relevant field (administration, category management, business, etc.). Knowledge of the animal industry (considerable asset). Ability to manage multiple projects, planning and organization of work. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office environment (Word, Power BI, Excel intermediate, PowerPoint and Outlook). Proficiency of the SAP suite and NAV (an asset). Key Performance Indicators: Respect for project deadlines and delivery dates. Customer satisfaction.
