Finishing Superintendent

Your new company Established and highly regarded privately owned Vancouver General Contractor with a strong portfolio of interesting projects locally is in the process of adding to their high performing team. The company has undertaken several landmark residential, mixed-use and institutional projects both in the Lower Mainland and on Vancouver Island. The organization has won multiple awards, and they are well known for their progressive approach and innovative use of technology. Your new role This is an opportunity to work on a large-scale concrete multifamily project located in Richmond. You will direct and encourage trade contractors in a positive, solutions-oriented manner. The position will require an individual with outstanding organizational skills and focus on quality. You will report directly to a very capable and supportive Senior Superintendent that has been with the company for a long duration. In fact, many of the company’s employees have been with them for a long time and they have very low turnover of staff. The project is in good shape, and you will have the opportunity to ensure it is successfully completed over the next 18 months that it is anticipated to be under construction. Beyond this project the company has a solid pipeline of future work locally and they are looking to hire on a permanent basis. What you'll need to succeed Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as a pro-active approach to site management. The background sought for this role is 7+ years of relevant and stable construction management experience, ideally having worked on large multifamily projects during the finishing stage. High-rise experience would be extremely desirable as would a background in Carpentry (ideally Red Seal). The senior management of the company have reputations that have been built on outstanding client relations and a great teamwork ethic, and it is essential their employee’s principles are well aligned in this regard.
