Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large datasets from various sources. Build and optimize data warehouses and data lakes to support data-driven decision-making and AI model development. Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to create efficient data workflows and implement data-related features. Ensure data quality, consistency, and security throughout the data lifecycle. Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in data engineering and GCP. Key Requirements Minimum 2 years of production experience in data engineering, with a demonstrated ability to deliver data solutions for real-world problems. Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used for data engineering (e.g., Python, Java). Experience with data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Apache Beam) and data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow). Deep understanding of data modelling techniques and experience designing scalable data architectures. Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its data-related services (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage). At a minimum, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer certification. Preferred: Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification. Registered business number and ability to provide insurance upon request. Soft Skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills: You will be working closely with cross-functional teams at Realist AI and will need to effectively communicate complex technical concepts. Strong Critical Thinking and Root Cause Analysis: You will be tasked with solving challenging data-related problems and will need to be able to think critically and creatively.
