The Manager, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Regulatory and Compliance department, while providing answers and support to clients (internal and external) of a technical nature, including integration inquiries and general account set up. Ensure that new regulations issued by CBSA are communicated, implemented and complied with. Provide support to sales department regarding new account set-ups, implement integrationtools and answer client queriesAct as advisor to clients regarding customs legislation, new initiatives, compliance andregulations while identifying regulatory opportunities as obtaining rulings and duty deferral applicationsProvide direction to and oversee the performance of the departmentCreate and maintain reporting structure in CRM individually per clientApprove newsflash’s for distribution to clients and branchIdentify and recommend QC cases to help reduce errorsWork toward departmental goals i.e. win to startMeet with team weekly for updatesStay current with upcoming regulatory changes impacting the Willson International client baseEnsure all new CBSA/PGA initiatives are communicated to VPCollaborate with other departments to ensure goals are met while providing the best service to our clientsHold a position and be active on a board or committee relative to Regulatory requirementsOccasional travel may be requiredAll other duties as assigned
