Key Responsibilities
Prepare electrical, mechanical and civil take-offs/estimates Accurately estimate the costs of materials, labour, and equipment using detailed drawings and specifications. Lead the tendering process and implement cost-monitoring and reporting procedures. Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and owners to finalize competitive price packages. Actively engage in site reviews, tender reviews, hand-offs, and project closings. Build and maintain a comprehensive directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors. Propose innovative solutions for project estimates in collaboration with engineers and stakeholders. Develop tender construction schedules and scope-of-work methodologies. Maintain the Bid2 Win database for seamless project estimation. Core CompetenciesStrong communication skills and a customer-first mindset. Detail-oriented with a commitment to teamwork. Education & ExperienceA degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering or Construction Fundamentals Electrical trade background is an asset. 5+ years of experience in estimating Experience construction projects an asset Proficiency in tools like MS Office and Bid2 Win estimating software.
