This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead Electrical Engineer based in Calgary, AB. The Lead Electrical Engineer will oversee electrical design, manage power distribution projects, and lead teams in the development and implementation of electrical systems. Responsibilities include implementing engineering practices, mentoring junior team members, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Electrical Systems: · Power system modelling and analysis · Power system protection and control schemes development · Single Line Diagrams and Electrical Schematic Diagrams development · Substation engineering and design · Power distribution system engineering and design · Raceway, lighting, and equipment design · Electric Heat Tracing engineering and design · Material Requisition development Control Systems: · Control panel layouts and control power distribution – development and production · I/O assignment management · Network Infrastructure · Control system documentation development (Shutdown Keys, Control Narratives, etc.) Drawing package development and checking Degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant engineering or design field · US engineering license(s) considered an asset for engineering roles on US projects · Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in EPC field · Site construction or operations experience are considered an asset
