SMS Equipment seeks an experienced Welding Estimator for its Fort Mc Murray branch. You will develop quotes, prepare shop work packages, and coordinate project requirements. The position requires planning, mathematical, analytical, and communication capabilities across operational teams.
Key Responsibilities: Create work scopes from specifications and technical drawings
Estimate materials, labour, equipment, parts, and suppliers
Develop competitive quotes and review project feasibility
Prepare shop instructions and detailed materials lists
Monitor costs, schedules, progress, and estimate revisions
Requirements: Welding Journeyperson qualification
Five or more years of relevant experience
Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
Knowledge of C. W. B., W. C. B., and OH&S regulations
Strong organization, communication, mathematical, and analytical capabilities
Apply welding estimating, project planning, and technical drawing expertise to support SMS Equipment fabrication work in Fort Mc Murray.
