Our client seeks a highly experienced Principal Transportation Engineer to lead its transportation planning and design division. The work covers road network planning, traffic engineering, public transport infrastructure, and strategic projects. You will guide engineers, manage client relationships, and drive technical excellence across project delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Lead complex transportation infrastructure planning, design, and implementation
Develop transportation models and conduct traffic impact assessments
Oversee road geometry, intersection, and traffic management designs
Manage project teams, budgets, and client expectations
Mentor junior and intermediate engineers through technical guidance
Requirements: Master's degree in Transportation Engineering or related field
Professional ECSA registration as a Pr. Eng
Minimum 12 years' progressive transportation engineering experience
Expertise with VISSIM, SIDRA, and transport modeling platforms
Knowledge of road design standards and traffic engineering principles
Apply transportation engineering leadership, modeling expertise, and technical guidance to projects shaping Northern Cape transportation infrastructure.
