Position Overview: The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training and development programs that support Amico’s continuous growth and commitment to excellence. This role plays a key part in building employee capability, enhancing performance, and supporting career development across all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities: Assess organizational learning needs and develop targeted training programs to address skill gaps. Design, deliver, and evaluate in-house learning initiatives, workshops, and onboarding programs. Collaborate with department leaders to align learning programs with business objectives and operational priorities. Manage external training vendors and oversee the coordination of third-party learning programs. Develop digital learning materials and maintain learning content on internal platforms or LMS systems. Monitor training effectiveness through feedback, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives. Maintain training records and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory training requirements. Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within Amico Affiliates. Qualifications: Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Education, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in learning and development, preferably in a construction or engineering environment. Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. CHRP/CHRL designation or progress toward certification is considered an asset.
