Lead Environmental, Health and Safety programs at Raytheon ELCAN in Midland, Ontario, coordinating compliance, audits, and employee support. This contract position ends April 2028, with possible extension.
The EHS Manager leads professionals and stakeholders while maintaining federal, provincial, local, and company requirements. The work includes hazard mitigation, incident investigations, training documentation, permits, record keeping, and continuous improvement. Strong organization, communication, and prioritization are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead EHS professionals and stakeholders toward regulatory compliance
- Coordinate programs, documentation, permits, licenses, and records
- Investigate incidents and drive root-cause corrective actions
- Recognize hazardous conditions and influence safe employee behaviors
- Support sustainability programs and strategic improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum three-plus years of relevant experience
- Experience identifying and mitigating EHS hazards
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements
- Clear, concise, effective verbal communication
