The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing supply chain activities in support of mining, processing and exploration operations located near established infrastructure. This role ensures the efficient, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of goods and services, inventory management, and logistics of materials, equipment, required to support exploration programs, mining and processing operations and project development.This is a full-time, on-site position based in either Gander, NL or King’s Point, NL.Essential Job Functions:Supply Chain & ProcurementDevelop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with exploration, development, and mining plansManage procurement of drilling supplies, consumables, equipment, spare parts, and contractor servicesLead supplier sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation, and performance managementBuild and maintain strong relationships with local and regional suppliers and service providersInventory, Warehousing & LogisticsOversee inventory planning and control to ensure availability of critical materials while minimizing excess stockManage site and off-site warehouses and laydown areasCoordinate inbound and outbound logistics using road or port infrastructure as applicableEnsure accurate tracking and reconciliation of inventory movementsCost Control, Systems & ReportingDevelop and manage supply chain budgets, forecasts, and cost controlsUtilize ERP and inventory systems to monitor spend, inventory levels, and supplier performancePrepare regular reports on procurement activity, cost trends, and key performance indicatorsSafety, Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure supply chain activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirementsSupport contractor onboarding and compliance with company safety and procurement standardsIdentify and mitigate supply chain risks related to market conditions, supplier capacity, and operational changesLeadership & Cross-Functional CollaborationLead, mentor, and develop supply chain, procurement, and warehouse staffWork closely with Exploration, Mine Operations, Maintenance, Projects, Finance, and HSE teams to align supply needs with operational plansSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, reliability, and cost optimizationEducation and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field7+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics within mining, exploration, or heavy industrial environmentsStrong experience managing supplier contracts and inventory systemsProven ability to work effectively with operational and technical teamsExperience in exploration or early-stage mine development, an asset. Knowledge of drilling programs, maintenance supply chains, and contractor services, an asset. Professional certification (CSCP, CPSM, PMP, or equivalent), an asset. Familiarity with local and provincial regulatory requirements, an asset.
