POSITION OFFERED: LOGISTICS SPECIALIST

TYPE OF POSITION: FULL-TIME, PERMANENT

WORK ENVIRONMENT: IN PERSON - 1613 Kebet Way, Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 5W9

As a Logistics Specialist with Liberate Logistics, you will be responsible for working with clients to develop logistics solutions across all modes of transportation. Our team handles Trucking, Rail, Ocean & Air shipments all over the world. Being detail oriented is key to being able to successfully deliver solutions that meet our clients specific needs. To thrive in our work environment, you will be highly motivated and self driven, excited to work in a fast paced environment. Of course, given that we pride ourselves in our uncompromising expectations of ourselves, you will also share in that same individual pride.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years logistics experience, with 1 year in a 3PL environment
  • High level of individual accountability
  • Be disciplined and be a self starter
  • Great communication skills 
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and carriers
  • Work effectively with various levels of management and cross-functional teams
  • Be detail oriented and can manage tasks independently

Position Description:

  • Coordinate shipments of all modes of transport, Ocean, Air, Road and Rail, including obtaining necessary documentation, and coordinating multiple vendor partners
  • Effectively negotiate with carriers and customers in order to ensure that client and carrier objectives are met, all while protecting Liberate's interests in the shipments
  • Analyze shipment details to determine and verify the service requirements, verify the appropriate routing, border crossing points and rates 
  • Assisting in all Customer Service related functions, as well as proactively identifying and resolving issues for shipments
  • Build strong relationships with clients and carriers and provide the best experience possible in every interaction
  • Develop innovative logistics solutions to help solve client challenges
  • Effectively and efficiently responding to internal and external client's inquiries; resolving any conflicts or problems that might arise
  • Update and maintain our Transportation Management System to ensure all quotes and shipments have accurate information and can be utilized by other team members
  • Liaising with Accounting to ensure that every shipment is billed correctly and vendor invoices are matched 
  • Support Warehouse Operations where necessary
  • Additional work tasks to be determined by management
