Position SummaryThe Sr. Quality Control Coordinator will oversee, implement, and maintain quality assurance and quality control processes for infrastructure construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, while driving continuous improvement in quality performance across all project phases.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and monitor project-specific Quality Control (QC) plans, procedures, and checklists.Coordinate and conduct inspections, audits, and testing of materials, workmanship, and subcontractor performance.Review and verify compliance of construction activities with drawings, specifications, codes, and contract requirements.Document and track all quality issues, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions, ensuring timely resolution.Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to address quality concerns and maintain alignment on standards.Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections, test results, certifications, and quality reports.Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to project teams regarding quality processes and best practices.Support continuous improvement by identifying trends, recommending corrective measures, and implementing lessons learned.Ensure all QA/QC documentation is prepared for project closeout and turnover packages.QualificationsPost-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (CET designation an asset).Minimum 7+ years of experience in quality control/quality assurance in heavy civil infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes, and specifications.Experience managing QC programs, conducting inspections, and coordinating with consultants and regulatory agencies.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills.Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.Familiarity with digital quality management systems and document control software is considered an asset.What Amico Can Offer YouCompetitive SalaryMedical, dental, and vision insuranceEmployer Matching Retirement ProgramLife insuranceAt Amico, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
