Con-Tech General Contractors is an employee-owned leader in commercial, municipal, water & wastewater, and heavy civil infrastructure in Western Canada. With an expanding portfolio of large, complex infrastructure projects, we are seeking a Senior Civil Estimator to lead complex estimates, support business growth, and play a key role in shaping our continued growth. As a Senior Civil Estimator, you will lead the estimating process for civil, infrastructure, and heavy construction projects from early budgeting, through final submission and successful project kickoff. This role is ideal for a highly experienced civil estimator who has priced and won $5M–$50M+ infrastructure projects and has the ability to contribute as a technical authority and strategic influence within the organization.You’ll work closely with operations, project management, and executive leadership to develop accurate, competitive, and strategic bids while mentoring junior team members.Key ResponsibilitiesLead preparation of civil & infrastructure estimates ranging from $1M to $50M+, including unit-rate and lump-sum contracts.Review drawings, specifications, scopes, and contract documents.Perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis.Develop bid strategies and pricing methodologies.Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.Maintain and grow strategic vendor relationships across Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Alberta markets.Identify risk, constructability issues, and value-engineering options.Prepare bid summaries, tender reviews, and executive presentations.Support project handover to construction teams.Mentor and support junior estimators.Provide historical cost data, bid analytics, and market intelligence.Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes.Required Qualifications 8+ years estimating experience in civil / infrastructure constructionStrong knowledge of:Earthworks, underground utilities, structures, roads, and concreteHeavy civil construction methods and productivityProven experience pricing $10M+ projectsStrong commercial awareness and risk management skillsAbility to lead estimates independently from start to finishClear communication and leadership mindsetProfessional integrity and pride in your workWell developed abilities to effectively utilize estimating software.What we offer·        Respect for work–life balance·        Straightforward leadership ·        Senior-level compensation package based on experience.·        Performance-based incentives·        Extended health & retirement benefits·        Autonomy and strategic influence.·        Professional growth, and leadership advancement·        A company where your voice is heard—and your work mattersIf you’re a seasoned civil estimator looking for more than “just another job,” Con-Tech General Contractors offers the opportunity to lead, influence, and own the results.Apply today with your resume and a brief introduction
