Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Contracts & Procurement Specialist in the oil & gas industry in Saint John, New Brunswick.In this role, you will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations across multiple business units.Total rewards:$75.00 - $85.00 hourly*Please note that the rates indicated are intended for consultants engaged by their Ltd. or Inc. entities.12-month contractPreferred rates for benefit coverage availableA typical day:Support day-to-day procurement activitiesSupport identifying and implementing negotiating, savings, and related sourcing strategiesUnderstand demand patterns to influence efficiencies through standardizationDraft contractual agreements and support negotiations of GSA’s, MSA’s, and other agreementsField level management of contracts and supplier relationships. Identify external and internal stakeholders and engage them in all activitiesEffectively manage procurement cycles to align with project schedulesSupport supplier consolidation activities. Support Internal Total Cost of Ownership reduction initiativesSuccessful candidates will have:5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management within the energy or oil and gas sectorPost-secondary education in business, engineering, supply chain, logistics or equivalent experienceSupply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation an assetEffective communications skillsStrong negotiation, influencing, and persuasion skillsUnderstanding of legal concepts related to contracts, including legal terminology and how to draft, review, and interpret contract terms and conditions would be an asset.
