You'll play a key part in upholding the highest standards of workplace safety and promoting a safety first culture, while enjoying the benefits of a close-knit team environment.Title: Health & Safety ManagerLocation: Western Ontario Roster: Residential OR FIFOCompany: Mid-Tier Mining CompanyReports to: General ManagerTeam size: 12 in H&S teamCore responsibilitiesOversight of Health & Safety activities large producing mine siteProvide site leadership with ongoing safety performance updatesH&S Strategical thinking and leadershipPromote and lead a zero harm work cultureCoordinate risk management processesHealth & Safety training and assurance to site employeesKey stakeholder and regulatory body engagementIncident investigation and corrective actionsSite emergency response, mine rescue, & firefighting systems / programsRequirements:10+ years health & safety leadership experience in a mining environmentHealth & Safety related qualificationsFamiliar with Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulationsCRSP designation or actively working towards acquiring itKnowledge of industrial hygieneBoth surface and underground mining experience preferrablyExcellent communication and leadership skillsMining hazard identification
