Bison Fire Protection is an authorised Siemens Fire Alarm Distributor looking to add a Licence Fire Alarm Technician to the Winnipeg Team.Position Summary: Under the direction of the Fire Alarm Supervisor, this role is responsible for inspections, installations and repairs to fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers as required by local and national fire codes.Position Responsibilities:Perform and complete service orders for inspections, installations, repairs and product sales as scheduledExamine work, test and ensure that equipment is functioning properly before leaving the shop or the customer’s locationDeliver equipment or product orders to customers as requiredIdentify and document deficiencies, and actively pursue opportunities for up-selling of other Company products and servicesComplete, obtain and maintain all required certifications and safety training for performance of dutiesAvailable for emergency call-outs on a rotational basisWilling to travel as directedAttend and participate in any new product/service training, safety requirements, and staff meetings as requiredPosition Requirements:Minimum education requirement: 12 GradeAdditional education and/or training from a technical college program is highly desirableWorking knowledge of current local and national fire codes is preferredCanadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) certification is a mustValid Manitoba Drivers’ License and clean driving abstract is requiredPresent a professional image & behaviours on job sites or in public when dealing with customers, vendors, other service providers and with fellow staff membersEffective verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate effective people skills and demonstrate positive team player attitudeWork RemotelyTraining: Company provides Siemens Fire Alarm training
